Site Welder / Fitter

Sutton Recruitment are seeking several skilled Site Welder / Fitters to work away onsite. As a Site Welder and Fitter you will be required to fabricate, assemble, and weld metal components to construct or repair structures and equipment on-site. This role involves interpreting blueprints, preparing materials, and using various welding techniques to ensure precision and durability.

Responsibilities:

Fabricate, assemble and the fitting of metal structures and components according to specifications.
Experience using MIG welding techniques.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in the fabrication process.
Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate production.
Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet industry standards.

Hourly rate:

£16.00p/h PAYE
Overtime rate (after 38 hours)
£24.00p/h PAYE

Skills Required

– Proficient in welding techniques, particularly MIG welding.
– Fabrication knowledge
– Experience working with sheet metal and other fabrication materials.
– Confident in using hand tools and power tools used in the fabrication process.
– Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
– Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.

Qualifications Required

– MIG Welding: 2 years (required)
– Fabrication: 2 years (required)
– CSCS Card (required)
– Driving Licence (preferred)

Rate of Pay

£16.00 – £24.00 per hour
